Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized instruction and support to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the necessary resources and accommodations to thrive academically.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals.
  • Deliver engaging virtual instruction using a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Provide ongoing assessment of student progress, adjust instructional methods as needed, and maintain accurate records of student performance and interventions.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administrators to create inclusive learning environments that promote the academic, social, and emotional development of all students..

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education in Ohio
  • Proven experience working with students with disabilities in a virtual or blended learning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
