What is an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)?

Occupational Therapy Assistants carry out the treatment plan developed by an Occupational Therapist. These treatment plans are created in order to improve, correct, or introduce new movements in order for a patient to carry out their daily activities successfully. In addition, they have the ability to track the progress of patients in order for the OT to make any necessary adjustments to improve the treatment plan.
