What is a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)?

Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) are experts in communication, who help to assess, prevent and correct language, communication and swallowing disorders in patients. In addition to this, SLPs are able to communicate, educate and prepare family members and/or caretakers of patients, to ensure they are able to provide additional care and attention for the patient in other environments.
