Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district as a member of our esteemed team. As an SLP, you will play a critical role in supporting students with communication disorders, speech impairments, and language difficulties. Your expertise will contribute to the academic success and overall well-being of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Provide speech therapy services to students individually or in small groups, utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the integration of speech and language goals into the students' educational plans.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Offer guidance and support to teachers and parents regarding strategies for promoting speech and language development in the classroom and home environments.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and objectives for students.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, advancements, and best practices in speech-language pathology to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the growth and development of students with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to special education and student services.
