Job Title: School Psychologist or BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)

Location: Henrietta, NY (Rochester, NY)

Start Date: August

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Number of Schools/Ages: 9 schools, serving students from K-12

Caseload/Job Details: The Behavior Specialist will collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to provide consultation and professional development aimed at supporting students' social, academic, and behavioral growth. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing consultation and support to teachers and paraprofessionals
  • Chairing CSE (Committee on Special Education) meetings as assigned
  • Collaborating on out-of-district placements
  • Reporting to the Director of Special Education

Types of Disabilities: Mild to Severe

Client Non-negotiables: Valid licensure in New York as a School Psychologist or Behavior Specialist. A special education license is acceptable, but candidates must also hold a BCBA license to supplement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Provide consultation and professional development to support the implementation of evidence-based practices
  • Chair CSE meetings as assigned and collaborate on out-of-district placements
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and inform decision-making
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Valid licensure in New York as a School Psychologist or Behavior Specialist
  • BCBA certification required
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with mild to severe disabilities
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build positive relationships with stakeholders
