Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate School Counselor to join our team. As a School Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students within the school community.
Job Type: part-Time, Contract
Caseload: PreK - 8th grade - 2 Schools
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students.
- Conduct assessments to identify academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention plans.
- Assist students with academic planning, career exploration, and college readiness.
- Address behavioral issues and provide appropriate interventions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
- CA School Counselor License
- Previous experience working as a School Counselor preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
