Job Opportunity: American Sign Language (ASL) Paraprofessionals Needed in Redlands, CA

Discipline(s) Needed: 24/25 ASL Parapros
City, State: Redlands, CA
Hours per Week: Full-Time (Hours range from 6.25-6.75 paid hours plus a 0.5 hour unpaid lunch)
Number of Schools Assigned: 1:1 assignments

Caseload/Job Details:

  • 1:1 assignments from kindergarten to adult transition openings
  • Experience with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) students or proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required

Licenses and Requirements:

  • Education: Equivalent to completion of twelfth grade, with training or coursework in child growth and development, special education, instructional technology, or related fields
  • Experience: One year of paid or volunteer experience working with children requiring a specialized learning environment, with previous work with hearing-impaired students and proficiency in sign language strongly desired
  • Strongly Desired: Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Certification, American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACCI), Level 4 or above
