Hiring Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for Upcoming School Year

Location: Piedmont, California

Duration: August 12, 2024 - June 5, 2025

Hours per Week:  (4 days)

Number of Schools Assigned: K-12th

Caseload/Job Details:

  • Age Group: K-12th (25 students)

Supervision Provided: The district will provide supervision for Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN as required.

Licenses Required:

  • CA BCBA certification is mandatory.

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team for the upcoming school year. The BCBA will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs by conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and providing guidance and training to school staff. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and contribute to the success of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students across K-12th grade.
  • Provide direct behavioral support and consultation to students, teachers, and support staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based interventions and strategies that promote positive behavior change and academic success.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed based on data analysis and ongoing assessment.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for school staff on behavior management techniques and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in the state of California is required.
  • Previous experience working with K-12 students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of behavior principles and behavior change strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
  • Ability to provide supervision and guidance to paraeducators, registered behavior technicians (RBTs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), or licensed practical nurses (LPNs) as required.
