Job Description

We are now scheduling interviews for a full time Occupational Therapist for a school-based job opening for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing abilities, and activities of daily living.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing areas such as handwriting, motor coordination, sensory integration, and adaptive behavior.
Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure ongoing growth and development.
Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise and insights to support students' overall success.

Qualifications:

Active VA OT license (or currently pending)
Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or pediatric settings, preferably with knowledge of special education practices.
