Job Description

Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location: Sanford, FL

Start Date: Immediate start, with renewal for the next school year

Hours: Full-time, 8am-4pm or 7:30am-3:30pm

Number of Schools Assigned: Each TVI has about 6-7 schools

Caseload/Job Details:

Serving students from Pre-K (age 4) to 12th grade (age 18)
Caseloads typically range from 30-35 students
Caseloads vary throughout the year
Schools are geographically zoned to minimize travel time during the day

Required Licenses:

Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License

Job Description: Sunbelt is currently seeking two dedicated Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Sanford, FL. As a TVI, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them achieve their academic and developmental goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education of the Visually Impaired or related field
Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) License
Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
Knowledge of Braille and other specialized instructional techniques
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
