Your Role:
As a Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) with VocoVision, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students in Kentucky to succeed academically and develop essential communication skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing virtual instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans and accommodations to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Utilizing our Virtual Toolkit and resources to enhance instruction and provide engaging learning experiences.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure continuity of services and support student progress.
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records in accordance with state and federal regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license in Kentucky with certification in Deaf Education or willingness to obtain.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and online learning platforms.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for advocating for the needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
