Opening: Elementary Onsite Special Education Teacher
Location: Andover, Minnesota
Position Type: Full-time, W-2 Contract
Duration: August 2024 - June 2025 Interviewing now
Hours: 37.50 hours per week

Sunbelt is seeking dedicated and qualified Elementary, Middle, and High School, Onsite Special Education Teachers for the 2024-2025 school year in Andover, Minnesota.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide direct instruction to students in various academic subjects, tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure academic growth and success.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
Participate in professional development activities and stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or 4 license in Special Education.
Minnesota teaching certificate required.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Previous experience working with elementary students with special needs preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
