TVI - Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Near Deerfield, IL
Sunbelt is currently seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) near  Deerfield, IL to assist a local district. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching students with visual impairments and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
  • Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, including instruction in braille, orientation and mobility, and other specialized skills as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to ensure that students with visual impairments receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the general education setting.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Attend meetings and professional development opportunities as required by the district.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education
  • Certification in teaching students with visual impairments.
  • Experience working with students with visual impairments.
