TVI - Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Near Deerfield, IL
Sunbelt is currently seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) near Deerfield, IL to assist a local district. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching students with visual impairments and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, including instruction in braille, orientation and mobility, and other specialized skills as needed.
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to ensure that students with visual impairments receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the general education setting.
Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.
Attend meetings and professional development opportunities as required by the district.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education
Certification in teaching students with visual impairments.
Experience working with students with visual impairments.
