Job Description

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse for a travel assignment in Topeka, Kansas. This travel assignment is for 13 weeks and possible extension. 

Qualifications:

  1. Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  2. Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) and/or Neurological Nursing (CNRN) preferred.
  3. Prior experience in critical care nursing, with a focus on neurological patients, is highly advantageous.
  4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and evaluate the condition of patients in the Neuro ICU, including those with traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative cases.

  2. Administer and manage medications, treatments, and interventions, ensuring that patients receive the prescribed care and maintain stable neurological status.

  3. Monitor and interpret vital signs, neurological assessments, and intracranial pressure (ICP) measurements to detect changes in patient conditions and respond promptly.

  4. Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
