Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a travel ICU Nurse in Jeffersonville, IN for a travel assignment!

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients upon admission to the ICU, including comprehensive physical assessments, review of medical histories, and evaluation of vital signs and laboratory values. Continuously monitor patients' conditions and assess changes in status, promptly intervening as needed to stabilize or improve their condition.

2. Critical Care Interventions: Provide advanced nursing interventions and treatments to address acute and complex medical conditions, including but not limited to hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, medication administration, and invasive procedures. Implement evidence-based protocols and guidelines to optimize patient outcomes and prevent complications.
   
    

   Requirements:

3. Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment. Additional certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) is preferred.

4. Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with specific experience in critical care or ICU nursing preferred. Proficiency in managing complex medical conditions, interpreting advanced monitoring systems, and performing critical interventions is required.

5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification: Current certification in ACLS is required, with additional certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.

6. Critical Thinking Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary for assessing complex patient conditions, prioritizing interventions, and making rapid decisions in emergency situations.
