Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified Travel ED RN to join a progressive healthcare team in Utica, NY! This night shift position offers a chance to showcase your expertise while exploring the historical significance and vibrant nightlife that Utica has to offer.

Responsibilities:

Assess patients presenting to the emergency room, triage patients based on acuity, and prioritize care accordingly.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, including but not limited to EKGs, wound care, and IV placement.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Valid RN license in the state of New York.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as an ER RN.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
NIHSS, and TNCC are required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
