Job Description

Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a travel Echo Tech for an assignment in Elmira, New York!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Echocardiographic Examinations:

    • Perform echocardiograms and related cardiovascular ultrasound studies according to established protocols and physician orders.
    • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the examination process, and address any questions or concerns to ensure their comfort and cooperation.
    • Position patients appropriately and utilize ultrasound techniques to obtain clear and detailed images of cardiac structures, chambers, and valves.
  2. Image Acquisition and Analysis:

    • Adjust ultrasound settings and imaging parameters to optimize image quality and enhance diagnostic information.
    • Obtain 2D, M-mode, and Doppler images to assess cardiac anatomy, function, and blood flow dynamics.
    • Analyze acquired images and Doppler recordings to identify abnormalities, artifacts, or technical limitations and take appropriate corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
  • State licensure or certification as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in echocardiography preferred.
