Job Description

Calling all experienced and dedicated CVOR Techs seeking a dynamic travel opportunity in Rochester, NY!

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a formal training program in surgical technology or cardiovascular technology preferred.
Certification: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) strongly preferred.
Experience: Previous experience working as a CVOR technician or in a related surgical setting is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Preoperative Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the operating room before cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and in working order.
Sterilization and Maintenance: Sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols to maintain a sterile environment in the CVOR and prevent surgical site infections.
Assistance During Surgery: Provide assistance to surgeons and other members of the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures, including passing instruments, handling specimens, and maintaining a clear field of vision.
