Job Description

Now hiring in Austin, Texas area for a Cath Lab Tech to join our travel team. This is a 13-week contract assignment working 40-hours per week at one of our partner facilities.

Responsibilities:

Procedure Preparation:
- Set up and prepare the cardiac catheterization lab for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in proper working order.
- Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to review patient history and procedure requirements.
Patient Care:
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide continuous assessment throughout the procedure.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
Technical Support:
- Operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and digital angiography systems.
- Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during catheterization procedures by providing accurate and timely imaging guidance.
- Handle and manipulate catheters, guidewires, and other specialized equipment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) with Cardiovascular-Interventional (CI) certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
