Job Description

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a hospital setting, delivering high-quality patient care during an 8-hour day shift. This travel opportunity offers a full-time schedule with guaranteed weekly hours and a chance to work within a well-established healthcare facility.

Location:
This position is based near Virgie, KY, within a 75-mile radius of a 340-bed hospital. The area offers a blend of small-town charm and access to natural outdoor activities, providing a comfortable lifestyle suited for those who appreciate a quieter setting without sacrificing healthcare career opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for hospitalized patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate charting and documentation
  • Adapt to change and demonstrate resilience in a dynamic clinical environment
  • Maintain professional conduct wearing navy blue scrubs as per facility guidelines
  • Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements or complete weekly PCR testing if applicable

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification and licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Experience working in acute hospital settings preferred
  • Proficient with Epic charting software
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage change effectively
  • Ability to work well within a social, team-oriented environment

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • Shift: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (8-hour days)
  • Note: Hours may vary during holidays when the unit is closed

This is a travel assignment providing the opportunity to enhance clinical skills while experiencing a new region. A contract length and start date will be provided upon application.
