A California hospital seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide expert care in an acute setting. Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position (specific schedule to be discussed during interview)

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a hospital setting
• Current, active California SLP license
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Deliver individualized, evidence-based therapy to patients with acute and complex medical needs
• Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation following hospital and regulatory requirements
• Consult and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and techniques for continued progress outside the hospital
• Participate in discharge planning, contributing recommendations for continuity of care
