Job Description

This opportunity is for a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in hospital therapy, based in Pikeville, KY. This travel position offers a rewarding experience at a 340-bed medical center known for its comprehensive services and patient-focused care. You will work an 8-hour day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing essential speech therapy services within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality speech language pathology evaluations and treatments to a diverse patient population.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Utilize Epic electronic medical records for accurate charting and documentation.
  • Adapt to changing clinical environments while maintaining resilient and professional behavior.
  • Follow infection control protocols, including COVID-19 vaccinations or weekly PCR testing if medically or religiously exempt.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist certification and licensure.
  • Familiarity with hospital therapy settings and patient care standards.
  • Experience using Epic for patient charting.
  • Ability to manage change effectively and work as part of a social, hard-working team.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policy or willingness to undergo weekly PCR testing.

Position Details:

  • Contract Length: Specified upon placement
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week (GSA hours not guaranteed during orientation week)

  • Facility requires navy blue scrub colors
