Schedule/Hours:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP licensure in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
  • Prior experience in a hospital or acute care setting desired
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient communication skills
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Effective documentation and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive evaluation and treatment services to inpatients and outpatients
  • Develop individualized therapy plans targeted to each patients goals
  • Document all interventions according to hospital policies and best practices
  • Educate patients and families on communication/swallowing strategies
  • Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and medical staff to coordinate care
