Job Description
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a home health setting, supporting patients across Orange, Seminole, and Orange Counties in the Orlando, FL area. This contract role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule with consistent hours and a focus on patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide routine speech-language therapy visits for home health patients
- Manage a caseload averaging 4-5 visits per day, including both new evaluations and ongoing treatments
- Travel an average of 150-175 miles weekly within assigned counties to deliver quality care
- Comply with internal scheduling policies to ensure adequate coverage during weekends and holidays as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with interdisciplinary teams and patient families
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in home health or a similar clinical environment
- Current Florida State SLP license (SLP-FLSSN) and Department of Health credentials (DOB) are required
- Ability to provide at least one reference from the entire work history
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time while traveling between patient homes
Location Insight: The position covers Orlando and surrounding counties, including Seminole and Orange Counties, providing a dynamic professional environment with vibrant communities, diverse healthcare needs, and accessibility to urban amenities along with suburban living.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No on-call rotations
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
This contract opportunity lasts for 13 weeks with an immediate start. Competitive pay rate and IRS mileage reimbursement are included.
