Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Proven ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of current best practices in acute inpatient therapy
- Dedication to patient-centered care and professional collaboration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in hospitalized patients
- Develop and implement evidence-based individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive care
- Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment strategies as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic processes and strategies to promote ongoing improvement
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and documentation requirements
