A leading hospital in California is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position within a dynamic therapy team. Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with flexible shift options based on facility need
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years full-time experience as a Speech Therapist in a hospital setting
- Current, active California SLP license required
- BLS certification (must be active)
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and documentation skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational/physical therapists, and patient families to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with hospital and industry standards
- Educate patients and caregivers on rehabilitation techniques for continued progress beyond discharge
- Participate in interdisciplinary patient care planning and case conferences
