Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license in Illinois or eligibility to obtain before assignment starts
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous hospital-based experience highly desirable
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interprofessional teams
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for hospital patients across varied age groups
  • Document interventions, patient progress, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
  • Communicate with families, caregivers, and team members to support holistic patient care
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings
  • Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
