Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license in Illinois or eligibility to obtain before assignment starts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous hospital-based experience highly desirable
- Ability to work collaboratively within interprofessional teams
- Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for hospital patients across varied age groups
- Document interventions, patient progress, and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Communicate with families, caregivers, and team members to support holistic patient care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings
- Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
