Serving a predominantly Native American community, youll deliver both inpatient and outpatient therapy while building your knowledge base through collaboration with experienced leaders and exposure to a variety of specialized clinics and advanced treatment modalities. This assignment provides enriching opportunities to work with patients across the lifespan, from newborns to seniors, expanding your skillset and resume.
Schedule:
- Regular work week (no weekend services)
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license (eligible in Arizona or any US jurisdiction)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed SLP
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Must meet all credentialing requirements
- SLPA not accepted for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret evaluations for a diverse patient group (birth through geriatrics)
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans
- Administer specialty services (swallowing, cognitive, pediatric feeding and language therapy, and more)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress in electronic health records
- Educate patients, families, and staff on care and home programs
- Assist with service development, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
