Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current SLP license in Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous experience in hospital or skilled nursing settings strongly desired
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Schedule:

  • 36 hours guaranteed per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and develop therapy plans for adult patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, follow-up care, and strategies to support ongoing recovery
  • Accurately document patient progress and outcomes according to hospital policies and standards
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute clinical insights for patient rehabilitation goals
