Working in a hospital therapy setting as a Physical Therapist Assistant on a 13-week travel assignment exposes you to innovative treatment approaches and diverse patient populations. Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- Previous experience in a hospital or similar acute rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing and carrying out treatment plans for patients with diverse diagnoses
- Document patient progress and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and exercises
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in therapy spaces
- Support and motivate patients to achieve their highest functional outcomes
