Provide essential support in restoring and enhancing patient mobility and function as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a hospital setting. This role involves working closely with Physical Therapists to develop and implement tailored therapy programs aimed at improving patients strength, coordination, range of motion, and overall recovery outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists in designing and carrying out treatment plans for patients recovering from injury or managing disease.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve physical function.
- Monitor patients progress and report changes or concerns promptly.
- Ensure all therapy services comply with regulatory standards and facility protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and patient responses.
- Promote cost-effective treatment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) as required by state regulations.
- Experience in a hospital-based physical therapy environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, patient care techniques, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow direction and work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
