Job Description
Physical therapists with a passion for patient progress and excellence in care are needed to provide therapeutic support in a hospital environment. In this contract-based opportunity, you will plan and conduct treatment programs aimed at enhancing patients physical, social, and mental well-being, working collaboratively as a co-leader in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans to improve patient mobility, strength, and function
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other therapy team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Conduct assessments to identify patient goals and track ongoing progress
- Document patient responses, therapy interventions, and outcomes in accordance with departmental protocols
- Educate patients and families about therapeutic processes, home exercises, and recovery expectations
- Actively contribute to departmental objectives and performance improvement initiatives
- Participate as a leader in interdisciplinary group settings to maximize patient recovery
Required Qualifications:
- Valid and current license as a Physical Therapist
- Proven experience delivering physical therapy services in a hospital setting
- Thorough knowledge of developing rehabilitation plans tailored to diverse patient populations
- Strong skills in working efficiently within a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent documentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to patient-centered care
