Job Description

Step into a dynamic inpatient setting within a well-established acute care hospital, providing vital physical therapy services to a diverse patient population. You'll collaborate with a dedicated group of approximately 20 PT practitioners and work alongside occupational and speech therapists during the day shift. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact inside a 253-bed hospital, including a robust 20-bed inpatient rehab unit.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shifts only, no nights required.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapist license in Florida
  • Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Prior acute care experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR systems
  • Exposure to ICU patient care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient evaluations and deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions within acute and rehab units
  • Manage an average caseload of 9-10 patients per day, achieving a 75% productivity benchmark
  • Effectively utilize hospital mobility equipment and document using Meditech
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize functional outcomes
  • Provide clear patient and family education regarding rehabilitation plans and progress
