Job Description

A healthcare role is available in Syracuse, NY, for a Physical Therapist with a focus on hospital-based therapy. This contract position requires a licensed or eligible candidate with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and at least two years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing customized treatment programs in collaboration with healthcare teams and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and develop tailored physical therapy treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare personnel to set and achieve patient-specific goals.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate patient notes and discharge documentation promptly.
  • Attend clinics, rounds, and conferences to provide patient updates and insights.
  • Participate in educational programs designed for staff, students, volunteers, and other medical professionals.
  • Train new staff members and serve as a clinical instructor for senior-level students.
  • Assist in the development of new therapeutic programs to enhance patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current New York State license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of two years of physical therapy experience, preferably in hospital settings.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment health clearance.
