Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in a hospital or outpatient therapy setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, planning, and evaluation skills according to current physical therapy standards
  • Comfort with delegating responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
  • Excellent communication for educating patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Competency in Microsoft Windows and willingness to participate in ongoing learning
  • Commitment to workplace safety including proper use of PPE and routine compliance with OSHA standards
  • Ability to work independently, exhibiting initiative, strong organizational and time management skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform formal/informal tests to assess musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
  • Develop, implement, and adjust patient-specific treatment plans in coordination with physicians
  • Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students
  • Educate and empower patients and their caregivers regarding conditions and home programs
  • Accurately document treatments, responses, and billing as required
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and community education efforts
  • Facilitate a positive work culture based on excellence, integrity, teamwork, and accountability
