Job Description

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient therapy settings preferred
  • Strong assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills
  • Ability to delegate tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable utilizing personal protective equipment and following infection control protocols
  • Willingness to float between outpatient and acute care units as needed

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient function using formal and informal testing to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
  • Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans in coordination with physicians
  • Supervise and delegate responsibilities to therapy assistants and aides
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, prognosis, and care routines
  • Complete accurate documentation and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Participate in team conferences, program development, and interdisciplinary communication
  • Recommend adaptive/supportive equipment and coordinate procurement as needed
  • Foster a culture of safety, process improvement, and collaborative learning
