Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract position; full-time expectations
Position Highlights:
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Collaborate closely with residents, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patient independence in daily living.
- Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and document interventions accurately in electronic medical records.
- Provide education to residents and caregivers, ensuring comprehension and effective use of assistive devices.
- Supervise and mentor assistant-level staff and new team members.
- Remain current with professional best practices and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, program development, and in-service education.
- Uphold facility cleanliness, infection control, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
- Current licensure as a PT in Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities is desirable.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
- Physical ability to assist patients and perform the essential functions of the role.
