As a Physical Therapist in this hospital environment, youll contribute to maximizing residents independence and functional abilities, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams and directly impacting patient outcomes. Schedule and Hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop and implement care plans with functional short- and long-term goals.
  • Coordinate with residents, caregivers, and referring physicians to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Document thoroughly in the Electronic Medical Record, meeting all regulatory and reimbursement standards.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy processes and use of assistive devices.
  • Supervise assistant-level staff and mentor new colleagues to uphold departmental standards.
  • Adhere to infection control and equipment maintenance protocols.
  • Participate in professional development and departmental program growth.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required; Masters or Doctorate preferred.
  • Current State of Massachusetts PT license (or eligibility).
  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings valued.
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and collaborative abilities.
