Job Description

Deliver exceptional care and patient outcomes as a Physical Therapist specializing in hospital-based therapy, with a primary focus on outpatient services and occasional support for acute care. Key Schedule Information:

  • Contract assignment
  • Primarily outpatient, with float coverage to acute care as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Active Physical Therapist license
  • Clinical experience in hospital-based or outpatient physical therapy preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in line with current standards
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students
  • Comfortable with electronic documentation and Microsoft Windows
  • Ability to handle medium physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop goal-specific, individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team on modifying patient plans of care
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on goals, progress, alternatives, and home-based care
  • Supervise and support PTAs and Aides, ensuring delegated tasks are completed to the highest standards
  • Recommend and facilitate procurement of adaptive and supportive equipment
  • Clearly document interventions, responses, and progress per policy and regulatory standards
  • Uphold adherence to safety protocols, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Participate in team meetings, program development, and process improvement initiatives
