Job Description

Deliver rehabilitative care as a Physical Therapist in a supportive hospital setting, focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing patient independence. This contract role involves treating patients across inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments with a variety of physical therapy modalities and skilled techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients according to physician orders, interpreting assessment results within professional licensure scope.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing disabilities and medical conditions.
  • Employ modalities such as ultrasound, NMES, iontophoresis, and manual muscle testing.
  • Instruct patients on the use of adaptive and assistive devices.
  • Supervise and collaborate with Physical Therapy Assistants and multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patient progress thoroughly and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety protocols are upheld.
  • Manage departmental documentation and support budget-related requests relevant to therapy services.

Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois Physical Therapist License required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and personal auto insurance.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and independent work skills.
  • APTA membership is a plus.
