Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Assess patients functional abilities, range of motion, and pain levels
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician diagnosis and patient needs
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and education for optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care
  • Document patient progress, clinical observations, and response to treatment using electronic medical records
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and strategies to prevent further injury or decline
  • Ensure safe discharge planning and recommendations for continued care as appropriate

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current, active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist
  • Inpatient hospital physical therapy experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of physical therapy modalities, techniques, and rehabilitation principles
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
