Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Experience in a hospital or acute care setting strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of therapeutic assessment, planning, and intervention skills
  • Ability to provide quality, patient-centered care in a cost-effective manner
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Commitment to compliance with all regulatory standards

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients physical abilities and movement potential
  • Design, implement, and oversee individualized treatment programs aimed at regaining mobility and independence
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to ensure an integrated, multidisciplinary approach
  • Educate patients and families about exercises and techniques to aid in ongoing recovery
  • Monitor progress, adjust plans of care, and maintain thorough, compliant records
  • Maintain patient safety and uphold facility and healthcare regulations throughout all aspects of treatment
