Job Description
Deliver expert physical therapy care in an outpatient hospital setting, helping patients of all ages regain mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their quality of life. This role requires evaluating and implementing medically prescribed treatment programs, educating patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation, and supervising therapy assistants to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and administer physical therapy treatments to patients with varied conditions
- Develop individualized therapy plans focused on movement restoration and pain reduction
- Educate patients on ergonomics, injury prevention, and restorative therapies
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides during treatment delivery
- Occasionally provide weekend coverage for acute care evaluations on a rotating basis
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid South Carolina Physical Therapy license (required for submission)
- Minimum of 2 years recent physical therapy experience; hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS certification via the American Heart Association (must be included with application)
- Experience working in outpatient therapy settings highly desirable
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems advantageous
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Weekend coverage approximately once every five weeks for acute care evaluations
