Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time travel position
- Initial work at one site; transition to a second site in July
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (Bachelors, Masters, or DPT acceptable per licensure guidelines)
- Active Physical Therapist license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1-2 years experience in a hospital, rehab, or ambulatory setting
- Orthopedic physical therapy experience required
- Strong communication, organizational, and case management abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and medical terminology
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Lead, instruct, and encourage patients in exercises and use of assistive devices
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions for optimal outcomes
- Communicate goals and progress clearly with patients and families
- Accurately document and complete billing by end of day
- Supervise physical therapy assistants per credentialing requirements
- Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives
