Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy required; Masters or Doctorate preferred
- Active Physical Therapist license for Massachusetts
- BLS certification preferred
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility a plus
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Analytical mindset and sound decision-making ability
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong documentation skills
- Capable of working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment
- Compassionate, resident-focused care approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, develop comprehensive care plans, and implement therapeutic treatments under proper supervision
- Document all care in the Electronic Medical Record and communicate effectively with the care team
- Provide education to patients and caregivers regarding therapy and use of assistive devices
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and consultations
- Mentor new staff and assist with departmental program development
- Supervise assistant-level staff, ensuring adherence to standards and guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of therapy spaces and comply with infection control protocols
- Uphold licensing, certification, and compliance training requirements
