Job Description

Deliver high-quality outpatient and inpatient physical therapy services in a dynamic hospital setting, providing care to patients of all ages and a variety of diagnoses within the full scope of Alaskas physical therapy practice guidelines. This contract position calls for compassion, adaptability, and commitment to evidence-based care. The successful candidate will demonstrate respect for cultural diversity, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Schedule:

  • Full-time contract opportunity

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy
  • Alaska state PT license in good standing, or eligibility to practice as a Student Physical Therapist (pending licensure exam)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience in a hospital-based setting preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with both standard physical therapy equipment and modalities
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, email, and comfortable utilizing internet resources for medical research
  • Effective communication abilities with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams
  • Capable of modifying care plans based on age-specific and patient-specific needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy care to a wide age range of patients with consideration for cultural diversity and individual needs
  • Assess, plan, and modify individualized treatment programs based on clinical best practices
  • Provide therapy utilizing equipment such as hi-lo tables, whirlpools, and therapeutic devices
  • Travel to village-based locations as required, bringing necessary therapy tools and materials
  • Accurately document patient progress and maintain thorough medical records
  • Collaborate with medical professionals and support the organizations mission
