Physical Therapists seeking a rewarding contract opportunity with a focus on both outpatient care and acute care float coverage will find a fulfilling challenge in this dynamic hospital-based setting. Youll make a meaningful difference through comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and patient-centered interventionworking closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, contract
- Primary focus: Outpatient therapy with float coverage to acute care as needed
- Two-year commitment required
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with active state licensure
- Experience in hospital or outpatient settings preferred
- Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Aides, and students per regulatory standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to educate patients and families effectively
- Capability to work independently, manage time, and solve problems with initiative
- Ability to handle exposure to communicable diseases, use personal protective equipment, and comply with safety standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform regular standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient function using evidence-based measures and develop individualized treatment plans
- Coordinate care with physicians and document all interventions per compliance requirements
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers; recommend adaptive equipment as necessary
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation for billing and regulatory purposes
- Participate in team conferences, process improvement initiatives, and promote physical therapy within the service area
