Job Description

Join a dedicated team providing top-quality inpatient rehabilitation care in Kilgore, TX, as a Physical Therapist. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, focusing on improving patients' mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients and develop customized treatment plans to restore movement, reduce pain, and prevent disability
  • Teach patients techniques for managing and preventing their conditions to achieve long-term health benefits
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation care
  • Utilize EMR systems (preferably MEDHOST) to document patient progress and treatment outcomes
  • Float within the hospital as needed; no on-call duties required

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current Texas Physical Therapy licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience as a Physical Therapist, including at least 1 year in inpatient rehab settings
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
  • Proficiency with EMR systems preferred (MEDHOST experience a plus)
  • Must be able to wear any solid color scrubs
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the workplace (travelers only)
  • No new graduates or LPTAs will be considered

Schedule:

  • Day shift: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
