Key Qualifications:
- Doctorate or degree in Physical Therapy required
- Valid or pending state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Strong understanding of Medicare, private insurance, workers comp, and diverse billing/coding procedures (DX/ICD-10)
- Strong documentation and EMR abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and administrative staff
- Supervisory experience with PT Assistants/Aides preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, assist in safe patient transfers, and adapt to prolonged periods of mobility
- Ongoing commitment to patient privacy and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and federal regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat patients to restore mobility, strength, and function
- Create and modify rehabilitation programs
- Ensure stellar documentation and coordinate with healthcare teams
- Oversee care delivered by assistants and aides
- Maintain compliance with billing and privacy procedures
- Engage in marketing/referral initiatives when necessary
- Support patients with questions, safety, and comfort
