Job Description

A skilled Physical Therapist is sought for a contract position within a dynamic hospital rehab department, supporting both inpatient and acute rehab patients. This department features a total of 35 beds for Inpatient Rehab and 488 beds for Acute Rehab, and is staffed by an experienced multidisciplinary therapy team (PT, OT, SLP). The successful candidate will work alongside approximately 80 rehab professionals, using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced documentation systems (Meditech for IRF/Acute and NetHealth ReDoc for Outpatient).

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment; day shift strongly preferred

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapist license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proven experience in hospital/acute rehab settings
  • Skilled in evaluation and follow-up treatments, including vestibular and lymphedema interventions
  • Team-focused and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and adaptable with changing patient needs
  • Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and design care plans for diverse rehab populations
  • Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions for improved mobility, function, and quality of life
  • Provide specialized services, including vestibular and lymphedema therapy
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech or NetHealth (ReDoc) systems
  • Collaborate closely with a large, multidisciplinary rehab team
  • Support patient education and family involvement in the therapy process
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
