Step into a dynamic healthcare environment providing outpatient rehabilitation services as a Physical Therapist Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to support patients in regaining mobility, strength, and independence after illness or injury. You will work alongside licensed Physical Therapists to design, implement, and monitor therapy programs that help patients return to their highest level of function.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract basis; specific schedule to be determined with facility
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Physical Therapist in planning and delivering individualized therapy interventions aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion
- Carry out prescribed treatment programs and document patient progress, ensuring continuous communication with supervising therapists and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist in educating patients and their families about therapeutic processes, home exercises, and progress expectations
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards within the outpatient rehab setting
- Monitor patients' responses to therapy, report concerns to the supervising therapist, and suggest program modifications as needed for quality patient care
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current licensure as a PTA as required by state regulations
- Experience in a hospital or outpatient rehab environment preferred
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and clinical team members
- Knowledge of current therapy practices, documentation standards, and compliance requirements
